Texas Department of Transportation Campus Consolidation

The new Stassney Campus will consolidate Texas Department of Transportation’s central administration functions previously housed in several buildings across Austin. The new campus will include a five-story, 425,000 SF administration building, a six-level, 548,000 SF cast-in-place parking garage for 1,586 vehicles, a two-story, 13,000 SF central utility plant, a one-story, 145,000 SF warehouse building housing TxDOT’s road sign print shop which has special structural and exhaust requirements, and a one-story, 74,000 SF, laboratory building where TxDOT will test everything from concrete and asphalt to paints and coatings used for marking lanes.
